We Like Wii Fit
For Christmas we got a Wii Fit and have been enjoying it ever since.
In the picture, Autumn is trying the Ski Jump balance game. She’s just a little too light to get momentum for takeoff, so she needed some help from Dad. Megan didn’t want to be left out and so she set up here own “Wii Balance Board” to stand on. The girls both love playing together with the Wii Fit. They like the running game and the “Ski Stand” as Autumn puts it. If she doesn’t get enough speed and stand up at the right time, the skier roles up into a snowball. Autumn calls it rolling up into a Panda Bear and thinks it’s the funniest thing ever.
The Yoga exercises are fantastic and a great way to stretch muscles and relax after a long day. There are strength training exercises and challenges against your trainer. It’s a great game and we find ourselves using it to workout/stretch almost every day. In fact, if you skip a day or a few days and don’t use the Wii Fit for exercising, it will let you know that it’s been a while (which helps with the motivation).
Some other fun things that you can do with a Wii is surf the Internet. The Wii is equipped with wireless capabilities, it can store and display pictures from an SD memory card, and it lets you download games from the Internet (for a small fee). You can download the old original Nintendo games or new ones.
Wii’s are very hard to come by. We visited Amazon.com (Nintendo Wii Collection will get you there)
and they had a place to put your phone number and when they received the Wii instock, they would automatically send a text message. Boy, those things went fast! We’re glad we got it and have gotten lots of use out of it.
