Hulu.com was launched today marking an important turning point in online media. You can now (legally) watch hundreds of television shows and movies over the Internet for free.

The site is the creation of NBC. Surprisingly, the videos play very well with little or no wait to download or “buffer” the video.

Definitely a game changer in the online media arena, services such as NetFlix and iTunes Movie Rentals better watch out.

You can embed movies, television shows, and previews right in your own website. You can also view the movies at full screen, and the quality of the video is impressive.

The selection of movies right now isn’t the greatest, but hey, it’s the first day.
