Elk Creek Ranch

Over Memorial Day Weekend, 2005 the family visited Elk Creek Ranch at
Island Park, Idaho. Elk Creek Ranch is situated on 500 acres, and the
family had all that space pretty much to ourselves. We enjoyed relaxing
out by the lake. We visited West Yellowstone and viewed a bear and wolf
exhibit.

The trip was very relaxing. It was fun
to sit on the porch of the lodge and just relax and chat with the
family. We were hoping to see a moose that had been around the
lake, but it didn’t happen. We also visited Mesa Falls. The
lookout to the falls is very close to the falls.
On the ride back, Grandpa told us stories
about his parents and about his wife’s parents. We learned a lot
and are typing up that information.
