Don’t Be Left Out in the Cold

Angie and I had contemplated purchasing a digital indoor/outdoor thermometer. We purchased one the other day, and were surprised to find an almost 15 degree difference between the upstairs in our house and the downstairs unfinished portion of the basement. We found about a 5 degree difference between the kitchen area and the family room which is only down a few steps.

The thermometer can also tell humidity. The humidity reading is around 34% for the inside of the house. Heaters really dry out the air in a home. Another website said that Death Valley in California had a humidity reading of 30%.

After placing the thermometer near the fireplace, the humidity reading dipped below 28%.

In every one of us, I think there is a desire to become a meteorologist and stand in front of that blue screen on the news and push the clouds across the screens. Since that’s not the case for us now, we’ve settled for a digital thermometer in our house.
