Zoorassic Park
We had a fun time visiting the Zoo. Not only did they have the regular animals…they had Dinosaurs.
Megan wasn’t so excited to see the dinosaurs.
“They’re not real,” we said.
“But they’re moving,” she said.
Good point. Especially when we encountered the dinosaurs that would spit on you (seen below).
Ah, a good day to “meat” a carnivore.
Peekaboo.
We saw the bird show there. The first time for the kids.
Oh yeah.
This fellow was loud!
If you’re not familiar with what this sign is from, I’m disappointed.

We had a jolly time at the corn maze. We started out heading towards…the beast…yes, it was a beast. Surprisingly, the girls decided they would go in. The mouth is taller than an adult, so you can see how big it is.
Noises of breathing and other monster noises kept things jumping inside the beast.
The kids had fun racing the pedal tractors.
Had to have the appropriate hat for the occasion.
Tire swings made from…tires…into fun shapes, dinosaurs, and other animals and made into swings got things swinging.
Princess land was a favorite.
The girls even got to use some dress-ups.
The girls loved sitting the carriage.
Megan found a friend.
And another friend, the pumpkin princess. Megan is standing in the front. The princess read Spookly the Square Pumpkin.
Fun at the Pumpkin Patch

We had fun at the pumpkin patch (and apple orchard). Megan went to it for school and really wanted to take the rest of us there.

Well, while there, why not buy some pumpkins?

We found one just the right size.

Finding pumpkins must have been stressful, so it looked like a little “Psychiatric” help was needed.

It must have worked because Megan is now smiling.

Snoopy’s dog house was there.

Jammin’ to the tunes.

Baby Elephant gets a Bath
When was the last time you saw an elephant try to splash mud on his keeper?
The baby elephant also tried out the “balance beam.”
We finished up our trip with a ride on the train.
Read MoreGentoo the Penguin
A long time ago, I told a story to the kids about Gentoo the penguin shortly before the aquarium received their batch of penguins, so the girls get excited when we see Gentoo, Gentoo’s mom, Gentoo’s dad, etc. there.
Maybe it’s because they’re new or because it’s cold in their enclosure, but these penguins are a lot more active than the ones at the zoo.
