Carole Benon Harris Wheatley Book Printed
We finally printed
the book about Grandma Benon Wheatley! The book ended up being
about 186 pages long
and includes stories submitted about Grandma by Grandpa, the six sons,
the
daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. We
then included pictures of Grandma, talks that she gave in church, and
poetry
she wrote. The book was picked up from
the printers the night before the Wheatley family Christmas party, so
we were
able to deliver the book to the family members.
Below is an except from the book, a poem written by Grandpa.
Carole Benon
I
miss her smile, Her voice, Her touch,
It
seems She always did so much.
As
we progressed along life's way,
There
were times to cry, and times to play.
She
was my life, my love, my light,
When
with Her, ALL things seemed so bright.
She
was the Mother of our boys.
Cuts
and bruises, and broken toys.
With
love and caring, She helped us all.
Be
all you can be, and stand Tall.
A
friend to all, a foe to none,
And
we all know Her work was done.
Now
as we deal with life's vexations,
Will
we live up to Her expectations?
