Ancestry Family Tree Free Service

Ancestry.com now has a service that users can upload family history information for free. Users can upload ancestor pictures, audio files, and documents for each ancestor in the user’s family tree.

One very useful feature is that once you’ve uploaded information about your family tree, Ancestry will do a search in its record archives for each ancestor to check for census records, stories, birth records, etc. that Ancestry.com has in its archives (many, but not all, of those records require a paid subscription to view).

Access to view the free family tree that you create can be restricted to people you invite, or you can make the tree more readily available to people with a free or paid account to Ancestry.com (information about living individuals is kept private).

The tree we created can be viewed by clicking here. You’ll need to create a free Ancestry.com account to view the tree. Creating an account is a very fast process.
